TETFUND-FUNDED SKILL ACQUISITION CENTRE HANDED OVER TO EKITI STATE POLYTECHNIC, ISAN-EKITI*

Ekiti State Polytechnic, Iṣan-Ekiti, has taken delivery of a newly completed Skill Acquisition Development Centre, a Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND)-sponsored project executed by Messrs Ricabim Nigeria Limited.

The official handing-over ceremony took place today, Wednesday, February 26, 2025, with the Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. Sunday Osinkolu Ajeigbe, receiving the keys to the building. Dr. Ajeigbe commended Ricabim Nigeria Limited for the timely and quality execution of the project, emphasizing its significance in equipping students with essential entrepreneurial skills.

The Skill Acquisition Development Centre is designed to provide hands-on training in various vocational fields, including fashion and design, catering, and tie & dye. It will serve as a hub for skill development, empowering students with practical knowledge that enhances their employability and entrepreneurial potential.

With the handover now, the Polytechnic is set to commence full utilization of the centre, marking another milestone in its quest to provide quality technical and vocational education in Nigeria.

Among the principal officers in attendance were the Bursar- Mr Oludayo Awe; Polytechnic Librarian- Dr Ayodeji Akerele, among others.
