In a remarkable display of commitment to the development of Ekiti State Polytechnic, Iṣan Ekiti, Hon. Akin Rotimi, the lawmaker representing Ekiti North Federal Constituency 1 in the House of Representatives, has delivered on the promise he made during his visit to the institution three weeks ago. Hon. Rotimi has supplied all the essential panels required for the construction of the long-awaited solar mini-grid at the Polytechnic.

This significant gesture marks a major milestone in efforts to resolve the institution's persistent power supply challenges, which have long hindered smooth academic and administrative operations. The solar mini-grid is expected to provide a sustainable and reliable power source for the Polytechnic.

The lawmaker had previously assured the management of Ekiti State Polytechnic, Iṣan Ekiti, of his unwavering support in addressing various infrastructure gaps facing the institution. During his visit, Hon. Rotimi not only promised to resolve the power supply issue but also pledged to facilitate the provision of laboratory equipment and an ambulance to further enhance the institution’s educational and health services.

The delivery of the solar panels is a testament to Hon. Rotimi's dedication to improving educational facilities in his constituency and his commitment to ensuring that the students and staff of Ekiti State Polytechnic have access to a conducive learning environment.

The Management of the Polytechnic, led by the Rector, Dr Sunday Osinkolu Ajeigbe, has expressed immense gratitude to Hon. Rotimi for his timely intervention and expressed confidence that the provision of the solar mini-grid would greatly enhance the academic experience at the institution.

With the solar mini-grid now on track for installation, the Polytechnic is set to witness a significant improvement in its power supply, supporting both academic and administrative functions.
