In his continued efforts to familiarize himself with different sections of the institution, the new Rector of Ekiti State Polytechnic, Iṣan Ekiti, Dr. Sunday Osinkolu Ajeigbe, has called on both staff and students to embrace integrity and dedication in their duties. He emphasized that integrity should be the foundation of their work and studies, stressing its importance in building a reputable institution
Dr Ajeigbe who made the call at separate familiarization meetings held on Thursday, September 6th, 2024, with both groups, reaffirmed his commitment to their welfare, while stressing the need for punctuality and discipline as key to the institution's progress.
Speaking further, the Rector emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and cooperation across campus. He urged everyone to continue fostering the existing harmonious environment to ensure the Polytechnic’s growth. Dr. Ajeigbe promised to work towards the provision of hostel accommodations for students in the near future.
He promised to foster a culture of discipline, accountability, and mutual respect among all members of the school community.
In support of the Rector's message, the Polytechnic's Registrar, Mr. J.A.O. Olorunsola, the Bursar, Mr. J.O. Awe, and the Polytechnic Librarian, Dr. J.A. Akerele, commended the staff and students for their cooperation with the institution’s management. They encouraged them to uphold discipline and commitment to academic success, while urging students to avoid vices that could truncate their future ambitions.
Responding to the Rector’s address, staff and students alike pledged their unwavering support and cooperation, urging him to prioritize their welfare as he steers the Polytechnic towards greater achievements.
