SSA to Governor on Students' Affairs, Adetiba Assures Timely Provision of Students' Shuttle Buses at EKSPOLY

The Senior Special Assistant to the Ekiti State Governor on Students' Affairs, Mrs. Mary Modupe Adetiba, visited the Ekiti State Polytechnic as part of her campus tour to all state-based higher institutions.

Mrs. Adetiba was warmly welcomed by the Polytechnic's Rector, Prof. Johnson Kayode Adesodun, represented by the Polytechnic Librarian, Dr. Johnson Ayodeji Akerele. In his welcome address, the Rector outlined the Institution's needs, which include an increase in the number of academic programmes, partnership on scholarships for students with private bodies, and additional utility vehicles for staff and students' shuttle buses.

In her response, Mrs. Adetiba emphasized that the aim of her tour was to conduct a firsthand assessment of campus situations, welfare of the students and identify areas where government can intervene through policy-making.

While responding to the issue of transportation, the Senior Special Assistant promised that her office would do everything possible to provide shuttle buses for easy transportation of students from the host community to the campus as soon as possible.

Commending the Polytechnic Management for their efforts, Mrs. Adetiba encouraged them to feel free to approach her office for partnership opportunities.

Additionally, the SSA urged the school Management to enhance their efforts in agribusiness to benefit the immediate environment and the entire state.
