In a bid to consolidate institutional progress and foster stronger ties with the state government, a high-powered delegation from Ekiti State Polytechnic, Isan-Ekiti, on Thursday, April 17, 2025, paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Ekiti State, Hon. Oyeniyi Adebayo, at his office in Ado Ekiti.
The delegation, led by the Chairman of the Governing Council, Professor Emmanuel Adedayo Fasakin, had as its primary agenda the formal introduction of the institution’s second substantive Rector, Dr. Sunday Osinkolu Ajeigbe, who assumed office recently.
Described as a purposeful and strategic meeting, the visit provided an opportunity for the Polytechnic’s leadership to present a comprehensive brief on the institution’s steady progress in academics, infrastructure, and administration.
In his remarks, Professor Fasakin commended the unwavering support of the state government and emphasized the need for sustained collaboration to further transform the institution into a beacon of academic and technological excellence. He noted that recently the National Board for Technical and Vocational Education (NBTE) visited the Polytechnic for accreditation of seventeen programmes, if accredited it would accelerate the Polytechnic’s development and increase its capacity to serve the educational aspirations of the youth in Ekiti State and beyond.
Respondng, Hon. Oyeniyi Adebayo expressed delight at the visit and pledged to convey the delegation’s message to the Governor, assuring them of the government's commitment to strengthening tertiary education in the state.
The visit signifies a renewed drive to align Ekiti State Polytechnic with the broader development goals of the state, particularly in human capital development and technical innovation.
