*EKITI STATE POLYTECHNIC WELCOMES NEW REGISTRAR, MRS. ABIMBOLA YETUNDE ADEWUMI*

 

Ekiti State Polytechnic, Isan-Ekiti, on Monday, March 3, 2025, officially welcomed its second substantive Registrar, Mrs. Abimbola Yetunde Adewumi, as she resumed office amidst an atmosphere of excitement and optimism.

In her inaugural address, Mrs. Adewumi expressed her deep appreciation for the opportunity to serve in the capacity of Registrar, describing her appointment as "a call to service." She assured the Polytechnic community of her unwavering commitment to excellence and pledged to discharge her duties responsibly.

"I will work assiduously not to disappoint the Polytechnic and the government of Ekiti State. This position is a call to service and I pledge to discharge my duty responsibly."(... )To all the Staff,...I therefore want to use this address to solicit your unflinching support, loyalty and dedication to service with the right attitude and discipline," she stated.

Leading the welcome delegation, the Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. Sunday Osinkolu Ajeigbe, in his address, congratulated the new Registrar and urged her to contribute her quota to the institution’s growth. He emphasized the importance of teamwork and strategic leadership in advancing the Polytechnic’s vision, assuring her of the management’s support in achieving the institution’s developmental goals.

The outgone Registrar, Mr. Gbenga Olorunsola, in his speech, officially presented his handing-over note and extended his prayers for the success of Mrs. Adewumi. He wished her a smooth tenure and encouraged her to build on the existing administrative structure for greater efficiency.

A key highlight of the ceremony was the administration of the oath of office by the Polytechnic’s legal officer, Barr. K.K. Onipede, followed by the presentation of the staff of office to Mrs. Adewumi by Mr. Olorunsola, symbolizing the seamless transfer of leadership.

The handover ceremony was well attended by family members, friends, colleagues, and well-wishers, who all came to witness and celebrate this new chapter in the history of Ekiti State Polytechnic.

With Mrs. Abimbola Yetunde Adewumi now at the helm of administrative affairs, the Polytechnic community looks forward to an era of progressive leadership, institutional reforms, and academic excellence
