*EKITI STATE POLYTECHNIC STUDENT, OTITOJU EMERGES NAPS TREASURER, PLEDGES COMMITMENT TO SERVICE*

 

In a remarkable feat that has brought pride to Ekiti State Polytechnic, Iṣan Ekiti, one of its students, Comrade Toba Otitoju, has been elected Treasurer of the National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS), the umbrella body representing polytechnic students across Nigeria.

The election, which was held recently in Minna, Niger State, saw Comrade Otitoju emerge victorious after a keenly contested race that attracted candidates from various institutions nationwide. His victory is seen as a testament to the leadership potential embedded in students of Ekiti State Polytechnic, Iṣan Ekiti.

Speaking after his emergence, Otitoju expressed his gratitude to the students who entrusted him with the responsibility, promising to be accountable and serve the association with utmost diligence.

Reacting to the development, the Rector of Ekiti State Polytechnic, Dr. Sunday Osinkolu-Ajeigbe, lauded the transparent electoral process that led to Otitoju’s emergence, describing it as a victory not just for the student leader but for the entire Polytechnic community.

"This achievement reaffirms our institution's commitment to nurturing future leaders. The Polytechnic Management is proud of Comrade Otitoju, and we pledge our support to ensure he succeeds in this role," the Rector said.

The election of Comrade Otitoju has further placed Ekiti State Polytechnic on the national map, showcasing its contributions to leadership development and student engagement beyond the academic environment.

As he embarks on this new journey, stakeholders have expressed confidence in his ability to uphold the values of accountability and service, which are crucial for the progress of the association.

Polytechnic students across the country now look forward to a tenure that will prioritize their interests while upholding the financial integrity of NAPS.
