Welcoming officials of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) who graced the occasion, the SIWES Coordinator of the institution, Dr. C.A. Fayose, underscored the importance of the programme, describing it as a bridge between classroom knowledge and industrial practice. He urged the students to take the orientation seriously as it would guide them throughout the four-month training.

The orientation featured a series of lectures designed to equip the students with practical knowledge and workplace ethics. Topics covered included: Use of Logbook and ITF Documents, Benefits of SIWES to Students, Projection of Institutional Values during SIWES, Handling Harassment at the Workplace, Report Writing, Safety Precautions on SIWES Duty, and Local Standards for Ekiti Poly SIWES Evaluation.
