EKITI POLYTECHNIC SHINES BRIGHT AS STATE GOVERNMENT HONOURS INSTITUTION FOR OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE*

_…Commended for growth in enrolment, IGR and accreditation drive_

In a moment of resounding pride for the Management, Staff and Students, Ekiti State Polytechnic, Isan Ekiti, has once again proven its rising profile among tertiary institutions in Nigeria as the institution received a Letter of Commendation and Award of Excellence from the Ekiti State Government under the visionary leadership of His Excellency, Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji.

The award, which was presented on Friday, 17th October 2025, at the Fountain Hotel, Ado-Ekiti, formed part of the activities marking the 2025 Civil Service Week.

According to the commendation letter signed by the Head of Service, Dr. Folakemi Olomojobi, the Polytechnic was evaluated and found to have made “remarkable progress in student enrolment, Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) drive, and successful accreditation of academic programmes.”

According to the letter, the Polytechnic’s consistent pursuit of excellence and administrative prudence has positioned it as a model of innovation, transparency, and academic advancement within the state’s higher education system. The state government lauded the Polytechnic for its strategic reforms and developmental strides, which have significantly enhanced its visibility and credibility.

“This recognition,” the letter read in part, “is expected to further inspire continued excellence and future development in your institution.”

Under the current administration of the Institution, Ekiti State Polytechnic has witnessed unprecedented growth in academic accreditation, infrastructural upgrades, digital innovation and community engagement aligning with the developmental vision of Governor Oyebanji’s government.

With this recognition, Ekiti State Polytechnic, Isan Ekiti, has once again demonstrated that it remains a trailblazer in skill-based education and institutional reform, proudly flying the flag of academic excellence within and beyond Ekiti State.
