EKSPOLY: Outreach Efforts Receive Warm Welcome, Boosting Educational Opportunities

The Ekiti State Polytechnic, Iṣan Ekiti's advocacy tour, led by the institution's Registrar, Mr. Gbenga Olorunsola, has been making significant strides in local government areas across the state.

On Thursday, January 25, 2024, the team visited the following local government areas: Isẹ/Orun local government area, Isẹ Ekiti; Emure Loca government area, Emure Ekiti; Ìdó/Osi Loca government area, Ido Ekiti; and Ayede Loca council development area, Ayede Ekiti.

During the visit to the Isẹ/Orun local government area in Iṣẹ Ekiti, the local government chairman, Hon. Ayodele Samson, showed great enthusiasm for the initiative. He announced that the local government would actively participate in the program from February. He also pleaded with the institution to consider the local government when establishing a part-time program centre of the Polytechnic.

In Emure Local Government Area, Emure Ekiti, the Chairman, Hon. Adedayo Tosin, demonstrated similar support. He committed to sponsoring interested youths and pledged to disseminate information about the Polytechnic's programs throughout the local communities.

The tour's impact was also felt in Ìdó/Òsì Local Government Area, Ido Ekiti, where the Chairman of the council, Hon. Omoleye Bankole expressed his support. He personally pledged to sponsor four students, emphasizing the importance of educational opportunities.

The final stop of the day was at the Ayede Local Council Development Area in Ayede Ekiti. The council Chairman Hon. Aderemi Ajayi described the initiative as an "eye opener" and committed to sponsoring two students.

The enthusiastic response from these local government leaders underscores the importance of educational development in Ekiti State. The advocacy tour is expected to continue its journey, fostering educational partnerships and opportunities for youths across the region.
