EKITI STATE POLYTECHNIC TO PARTNER BROADCAST MEDIA FOR ENHANCED VISIBILITY*

 

The Rector of Ekiti State Polytechnic, Isan Ekiti, Dr. Sunday Osinkolu Ajeigbe, has described broadcast media as a strategic tool for creating institutional visibility and promoting the value of education to prospective students.

Dr. Ajeigbe made this known on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, while receiving the management team of Voice 89.9FM, Ado Ekiti, during a courtesy visit to the Polytechnic.

According to the Rector, the institution is open to media collaborations that will boost public awareness and attract students from within and beyond Ekiti State.

Earlier, the General Manager of Voice 89.9FM, Mr. Akin Ojo, who led the delegation, outlined the purpose of the visit, which was to explore avenues for partnership with the Polytechnic. He expressed the station’s readiness to provide a dedicated platform for promoting the institution’s programmes, describing it as a mutually beneficial relationship.

While reacting, Dr. Ajeigbe expressed appreciation for the visit and emphasized the institution's willingness to formalize the collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), noting that such partnerships align with the Polytechnic’s vision for wider outreach and educational impact.

The meeting was attended by top officials of the Polytechnic’s management team, including the Deputy Rector, Mr. E.A Ajayi; Registrar, Mrs. A.Y Adewunmi; Bursar, Mr. O.J Awe; and Deputy Registrar, Mr. S.E Ayodeji.
