EKITI STATE POLYTECHNIC RECTOR REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO PRODUCE SELF-RELIANT GRADUATES*

The Rector of Ekiti State Polytechnic, Isan Ekiti, Dr. Sunday Osinkolu Ajeigbe, has reiterated the institution’s dedication to producing self-reliant graduates equipped with technological skills and innovative thinking.

Dr. Ajeigbe made this known while receiving the management team of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Ado Ekiti branch, during a courtesy visit to the Polytechnic on Monday, August 4, 2025

He emphasized the importance of media partnerships in driving institutional visibility, stating that the Polytechnic is open to collaborations that will enhance public awareness and attract prospective students from within and outside the state.

“We are committed to building a Polytechnic that not only trains but empowers students to be self-sufficient through technology and innovation,” Dr. Ajeigbe said.

Earlier in the meeting, the General Manager of NTA Ado Ekiti, Alhaji Ishaq Ayo Akande, who led the delegation, highlighted the purpose of their visit, noting the station’s interest in establishing a mutually beneficial relationship with the Polytechnic. He expressed optimism about signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide broadcast visibility and promote the Polytechnic’s activities on the NTA platform.

In response, Dr. Ajeigbe appreciated the long-anticipated visit and expressed the institution's readiness to formalize the partnership through an MoU. 

He described the visit as timely and in line with the Polytechnic’s strategic media engagement goals.

The meeting also had in attendance key members of the Polytechnic’s Management team, including the Deputy Rector, Mr. E.A Ajayi; Registrar, Mrs. A.Y Adewunmi; Bursar, Mr. O.J Awe; and Deputy Registrar, Mr. S.E Ayodeji.
